Ahmanson Theatre tickets & upcoming events

The Ahmanson Theatre is truly a gem nestled in the heart of Los Angeles, and honestly, it’s one of those spots where you just feel the buzz the moment you step inside. Opened in 1967 and named after philanthropist Howard F. Ahmanson Jr., this venue has hosted everything from Broadway hits to cutting-edge dance performances. I mean, I remember catching Kinky Boots there back in 2014, such a vibrant show that really celebrated acceptance and individuality. It’s not just a pretty face either; the theatre has a reputation for showcasing top-tier productions like Ailey’s dance ensemble, which is always a treat if you’re into powerful, expressive movement. And don’t worry about accessibility, the place is pretty thoughtful with disabled-friendly areas that don’t block your view. Plus, if you’re coming from downtown or the airport, it’s a quick walk or a short ride via the FlyAway bus to Union Station, making it super easy to get to. Honestly, whether you’re into musicals, comedy, or dance, the Ahmanson has something for everyone. So, if you’re looking to catch a show and soak in some LA culture, it’s definitely worth checking out. And trust me, with ticket options like front-row seats for Betty Boop or VIP packages for Fiddler On The Roof, there’s no shortage of ways to make your night special.
